Sacred Mountains
Volcanoes can create and destroy cities because they can shape lands and cultures, but they can cause huge ruin and great loss of life. Fuji, which is the sacred mountain in Japan and located in the center,is an example of active volcano. This volcano exploded in 1707 and caused cloud of ash which covered Tokyo for weeks. And there is prospect that Fuji volcano may erupt again. The second example of active volcano is Popocatepetl in Mexico. This volcano has erupted many times. But there are people who still want to stay near from it because they think it is a god, mountain ,and a human.
I think it is very dangerous to live in an area near volcanoes because they can kill people and affect on the economy in bad way. Also, I hope that the scientist can find way to know when volcanoes will erupt so they can worn people who live near from them.
I learned many vocabularies from this article such as ancestors, inevitable, and appease .
I totally agree with you Seema. it's dangerous to live there. But I would love to visit some volcanoes
ReplyDeleteHi Seemmaa, in my opinion the natural disaster like volcano is caused by God. And we must learn a lesson what the development progress still weak against God power. I hope the science find out a technique to predict the volcano eruption.
ReplyDeleteHi Seemaa, I have visited the Fuji volcano one time in last year when I traveled Japan with my family. Although it is dangerous, it is still a very beautiful place. In truthfully, I have a little scare when I went there. ^^
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
DeleteI agree with you Seemaa,it is very dangerous to live beside the volcano .I wish the scientists can find any way to predict it.
ReplyDeleteHi Seemaa, I agree with that situation. I know many people are living near from volcano, and they don't matter about it maybe they are thinking it is a god as you said.
ReplyDeleteI also hope that scientists will be able to predict more accurately when volcanoes are going to erupt so that people can evacuate safely. I'm glad I don't live near a volcano. :)
